A 50% deposit must be paid to Westwood Stone Company (WSC) prior to ordering your stone and scheduling your installation. The final 50% payment is due upon completion of installation. If payment is not received in full within 10 working days of the project being completed and invoiced, a 2% charge on the total outstanding balance will be added to the invoice. If any legal action must be taken by WSC to receive the money owed, the defendant will pay all legal costs associated with the process, including court costs and attorney’s fees. All cancellations are subject to a 15% handling fee. Orders from stone distributors are final and cannot be canceled. WSC reserves the right to collect material if the method of payment has been declined, voided, or not received within the agreed-upon time period.
A 3.5% credit/debit card processing fee will be added to all invoices using credit or debit cards. We hate processing fees as much as the next guy. Blame the card processors, not us!
We understand things happen that are out of your control that may affect your scheduled installation appointment. Scheduled installation appointments that are cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

The fabrication process requires skill and expertise. Our fabrication team is very knowledgeable and uses their expertise to strategically plan every job. There are many variables that may affect the fabrication of your stone.
All stone materials are unique and have specific pros and cons that we want to ensure you are aware of.
Quartz is a man-made stone that is very durable and with proper care and maintenance will hold up very well in most settings. While stain and scratch resistant, it's certainly not impossible. Spills should be cleaned up to prevent staining. Particular caution should be taken with items that can leave rust marks. You should not cut directly on quartz surfaces. Always use a trivet or hot pad for items with a temperature of 150 degrees or hotter. Quartz should not be used in areas with direct sunlight (outdoor settings).
Granite is a natural stone that is typically very durable and with proper care will hold up very well in most settings. Fissures and pitting are naturally occurring features in granite and should not be considered defects. Granite slabs typically display minimal variations in background color, veining distribution, and veining pattern
Marble, dolomite, and calcite are natural materials and often displays great variations in background color, veining distribution, and veining pattern. Fissures and pitting are naturally occurring features in these materials and should not be considered defects. Marble, dolomite, and calcite are highly prone to staining and will etch easily and quickly - often within just minutes of being exposed to many substances, including common foods and beverages. Even with regular cleaning, the surface of these materials will change, dull, and age over time – similar to other natural materials such as hardwoods.
Quartzite is a natural stone that has many qualities of other natural stones, including great variations in background color, veining distribution, and veining pattern. Fissures and pitting are naturally occurring features in quartzite and should not be considered defects. Quartzite is a very hard surface similar to granite, that will not scratch easily. However, due to their mineralogical makeup, some quartzites may be prone to staining, oxidation, etching, and can show absorption of waters and oils into the stone. Liquids and substances that have both acidic and oily qualities are more susceptible to absorbing into the stone. It does not take excessive force or neglect to stain quartzite countertops. They will wear, age, and distress with normal and everyday use. Due to the porous nature of this material while it works through our wet shop it will have longer production times. This is to ensure the tops are completely dry prior to the sealant being applied. There is no material/product warranty provided for this product should liquid absorption, staining, etching, discoloration, or damage occur to the stone or for natural characteristics. There is a craftsmanship warranty on the installation and labor.
We understand that countertops are an investment and we want you to feel confident in your stone selection and installation.
All natural stone countertops come with a one (1) year installation and labor warranty. There is no warranty against staining on these materials.
Many of our quartz distributors/manufacturers offer limited lifetime warranties. We encourage you to read and understand the terms and conditions with the appropriate distributor/manufacturers. WSC is and will never be held liable for all terms and conditions according to all warranties, no matter the vendors/manufacturers. All issues regarding the limited lifetime warranties are between the customer and the respective vendor.
While we cannot warranty natural stone material, we do warranty our installation for one year.
